Sooo, my due date was supposed to be on the 2nd November... Did she arrive...NOPE!! Talk about frustrating! I was driving myself...and everyone else around me CUUURAAAZZEEEE!!
I had had such an easy pregnancy, and nooo complications at all... But I hated being pregnant.. I cant understand how some women enjoy it... and for 9 months!!!!!!!! So..when due date was getting closer I had started to count hours... and when it was here, and no baby... it was NOT funny!!
But anyway... Here's the Birthstory...=)
My lovely story began friday 6th November at 3am.. I woke up to use the bathroom,when I came back to bed I felt a period like cramp, and thought "could this be it?", I didn't really believe it,as I had my induction booked on Monday 9th..I had a feeling she would come the day before..lol. So I started to count them..LOL then I took out stopwatch on my phone and timed them for 30mins,and they were 7-10 mins apart! So I woke hubbs up,and he got up,and we sat and timed them together, getting excited at each one.. Then they were 7 mins for a while.. And I had said I wanted to have a shower and get ready before we head to hospital.. So I had a shower while hubbs woke my mum up - who's here from England for the month =) . We all got up and ready, sitting watching TV at 4 in the morning while I was stopwatching my contractions..at 6ish they got to 5 mins,so we decided to head up hospital. Got there and they put me on monitors and monitored babys heart rate and my contractions for 3 hours to then tell me they weren't getting closer and I hadn't dilated no more than what I had when I first came in... I was soooo disappointed! So we got home at 9ish, and we all had a sleep..woke up in the afternoon and the contractions had got stronger...ALOT STRONGER! But we sat and waited it out..I was really struggling to cope with the pain,i even coloured mums her hair for her..haha but Ben was GREAT!! It got to 9 at night and my contractions were still only 5 mins apart.. And I was dying (LOL) I hadn't been able to rest..and the pain was hitting me bad..I decided to lay in the bath, but that was a bad idea.. Only cause I couldn't act a fool with each contractions,I had to sit there and take it! In the end I told Mum and Ben to take me to hospital..so we got in the car and 5 mins later..I was fine.. I said "I'm ok now...do you think we should turn around and go back home?" Hahaha... And we did.. Til I felt one..and I said "NO..I was wrong.. We need to go.." We got to hospital, and again.. Monitored up and checked! I was in pain for 3 hours..acting a fool on the bed with each contraction. Just as Ben said " I think were leaving" ,the nurse walked in and said she's moving me to delivery room! I couldn't believe it!! So I got wheelchaired away,and monitored back up,and they done the IV and inserted a pain med in there too..5 mins later, I was laughing bad,the smallest thing set me off,and I was laughing over nothing for about 15 mins..then I was knocked out! I must have slept for about 20 mins and woke up with strong contractions again.. And the nurse came and checked me,and said I can have my epidural now! I was SO HAPPY!!! Lol! The anastesiologist came about 2 hrs later, and I was about to cuss someone out..haha! It was the weirdest sensation getting the epidural, but I knew it be worth it.. And it was..FINALLY I could get some sleep... And so could my mum and hubbster! We got woken up later by the nurse,as she wanted to check my progress... Still not much closer than last time...the doctor came in and broke my water, and the also decided to give me pitocin later to speed things up as I hadn't made no progress.. Again, nurse came in,I got checked and all of a sudden I was 9cm dilated,so she decided that I should push my way through the last bit... I thought OMG!!!! And + I had overdosed myself on epidural as the contractions had gotten soooo strong, so I kept pushing the button..that itself was a relief...LOL so doctor came and got things ready,and mum was by one side,Ben was on the other holding my legs up,and I was pushing with every contraction! At one point the doctor asked if I wanted to feel her head... So he lead my hand to her head and all I felt was LOTS of hair... And 2 pushes later.. At 15.57 she came out..and it was such an amazing feeling..and hearing her cry was even more amazing! I felt like I had accomplished the greatest thing in the world! And another great thing....I didn't even tear....lol!! Were now home,after 2 nights at hospital, and all is great! Still getting used to the fact that she's here.. I look at her and think.."Wow,you're so beautiful and perfect" and then I think I made her!! =) I've fallen in love all over again! <3
